I’ve proudly dedicated my career to obtaining compensation for victims of medical malpractice, and those who have suffered injuries resulting from the negligence of others. I have successfully litigated cases on behalf of clients suffering from a wide range of catastrophic injuries caused by negligence, including medical malpractice, motor vehicle accidents, trip/slip and fall accidents, and workplace accidents. I handle all types of medical malpractice cases: birth injuries; surgical errors; failures to diagnose. I am not afraid to take on the toughest of challenges.
Upon graduating from Hofstra University School of Law, cum laude, I received an advocacy award for my success competing in moot court competitions. I am now back at the Maurice A. Deane School of Law at Hofstra University as a Special Professor of Law. It is important to give back to the law school community that has given me so much. I also deliver lectures to students, professional organizations any one else who will listen (!) on issues including the dangers of tort reform.
Prior to going to law school, I enjoyed a short career in public relations and marketing, predominately in the technology industry. After the technology industry bubble burst, I pursued a law degree as a means to a career in which I could help people rather than focusing on corporations’ bottom lines. During my law school career, I competed in national moot court competitions and also served as a mediator in the law school clinic, providing dispute resolution opportunities in the Queens Civil Court, Hempstead District Court and at non-profit community organizations.
After graduating law school, my first job was as an associate at Long Island’s largest medical malpractice plaintiff’s firm. I then took a “big law” position as an attorney at the largest suburban law firm in the country where I gained valuable experience and insight as to how corporations and insurance companies defend complex personal injury cases. Seeing how parties operate on both sides of litigation has made me better at what I do because I gained first hand knowledge of the strategies and preparation tactics of those who advocate for defendants.
Finally, in 2010, I landed at home at Levine & Grossman, a firm that has been representing plaintiffs in personal injury actions for over 40 years. I practice in all the courts of Long Island, the New York City area and upstate New York. In 2012, I was recognized by a medical malpractice industry association as being in the Top 1% of trial counsel for medical malpractice.
The practice of law is a results oriented business. I take pride in obtaining the best results possible for my clients. The practice of law is also a service industry. It is important that the attorney-client relationship is a partnership where the client and attorney have access to one another and open lines of communication. I entered this industry to help people and I consider it a privilege to have the opportunity to enhance the lives of so many.
When I’m not working I enjoy doing whatever my family wants to do. In my home, my brilliant, beautiful wife and I have one simple rule: “Happy son, happy everyone.” And if that includes boating, the beach or just about any sporting event… then that’s all the better.
Best Regards,
